Can we have "this" without "that" ?
That's what this series is about. I'm responding to the changes in the shape and textures of the land because of the tides. I painted these on the North Wales coast, setting up a campsite studio for a week. I swam, I walked, I painted and I rested.
There is a seawall that separates the tidal river from the bay, and the land is constantly being revealed and hidden with the tides. Lines get left on the shores and then erased. Shapes appear and disappear. Curves alter with the incoming and outgoing flows. It keeps on changing never going back to what it was..
