the limited edition seascape prints are available in three sizes each in a reclaimed wood frame.
the inspiration behind the seascapes
This body of work began in the summer of 2017 when I was immersed in some serious open-water swim training in Greece. Each day we swam 5km giving me plenty of time and distance to work on my swim technique and also to revisit older ways of working and welcoming new styles and inspirations.
The sea, the coast, the meeting of water and air and my experience of moving through the waters became my muse. On that trip I made time for creative development and painted each day mostly on the boat too and from our swim spots.
Back in the UK, I still spend a lot of time open water swimming in the sea and local rivers, often with Ruby, our Labrador. My husband and I love camping on the North Wales coast where some of the seascapes have been inspired and made.
Can you do a commission of a favourite beach or stretch of coastline?
Yes, I can and would love to...click HERE for more details.
Do you make the frames too Christine?
Yes, I do. I've been making my own frames from discarded wood I've rescued from skips, reclamation yards and my allotment. I can make one for you for your own special print too. Just ask me.
