This painting is titled from a quiet noticing—what I find myself drawn to, again and again. It’s personal, of course, unique to each viewer’s eye. And yet, I believe there’s something universal in the way we experience pleasure without explanation. A silent yes.
Certain landscapes stop me mid-step. Their shapes, their grounded weight, the quiet order in their composition—they settle something in me. Tendency Towards was painted to bring that same sense of calm and solidity into a space.
