Welcome to my "essential element" - short series of nine new works inspired by running in our beautiful winter landscape recently. When being outside really is essential - to me and maybe you too?

Acrylic on wooden panel 19 x 19 x 2.5cm. You can prop them / hang them anyway you want as I’ve not put wire on the back to boss you about.
Try seeing one “upside down” and it is still a winter landscape. I didn’t intend this, I discovered it as I was doing them! The dark bit we call the sky could just as well be the dark bit we call the land when we turn it the other way. And this is what I love adore about expanses of snow in the landscape- it inverts everything. What was dark becomes light.
