A series inspired by a studio experiment with 30 pieces of paper, 3 colours and 3 painting tools. After the initial exploratory stage I worked on four panels and realised that of all the possible combinations of marks and textures that could go down, I liked these - just as they are - and it felt great to say "yes" to them.
Acrylic on wooden panel in a 28 x 28 x 2.5cm tray frame, meaning they appear to float and have a 0.5 cm gap between panel and frame.It is a new development for me to make these frames and I am delighted with how well they show off the work. |
